Robot Cloning Click to go to DynaCal
Cloning refers to when a Programmer wants to copy (or "Clone") Robot Programs from one Robot Cell (Cell “A”) to another – supposedly “identical” – Robot Cell (Cell “B”).
Because of Actual Manufacturing Tolerances and /or relative positioning between the Robot, the End Effector, and the Fixture in both Robot Cells, these Robot Programs cannot simply be “straight” copied, but rather need to be properly Compensated (Filtered) in order to take into consideration the Identified Actual Calibration Parameters of both Robot Cells; and do this regardless of how the Robot Programs on the first Robot Cell were created (through Off-Line Programming or simple manual teaching).

Dynalog's DynaCal (and IdentiCal) System provides an efficient and highly accurate method which is widely used to copy robot programs between "identical" robot production cells. Use the links below to learn more about Cloning.
