Three robotic industry leaders in their respective fields – Dynalog, FARO Technologies and Delmia - have joined efforts to present a complete and comprehensive Off-Line Programming solution at the upcoming International Robots and Vision Show in Chicago between June 12th and 14th 2007.
Each one of these three companies specializes in one of the key technologies necessary to close the off-line programming loop from start to finish: Simulate with Delmia; Measure with Faro; Calibrate with Dynalog – you’re now ready to download as many robot programs as you want from CAD to floor – as efficiently and as precisely as possible.
“It’s the first time that the three of us team up,” said Pierre de Smet, President of Dynalog, Inc. “Each of us is well established in their respective field. We already share several customers, many of whom have already utilized our solutions together. Our products have come to maturity; our technologies are now better integrated than ever. For Delmia, FARO and Dynalog to team up at this show is only natural!”
Delmia offers the V5 software product, allowing a robot user to start modeling and simulating his robotic system from CAD before it even actually hits the plant floor. Once the actual robotic system has been installed, the laser tracker from FARO Technologies is used to measure all mechanical components making up the physical system: the robot, the end-effector, the fixture, etc.
The DynaCal™ solution from Dynalog then mathematically analyzes the CAD data coming from the Delmia simulation environment on one side, and the actual measurements obtained with the FARO laser tracker on the other side. From that comparison, a so-called “filter” is automatically produced allowing any robot program generated from CAD to be downloaded straight to the actual plant floor – with no manual intervention!
Dan Hasley, Director of Business Development at Dynalog, Inc. will provide more insight on the array of solutions proposed by Dynalog during his presentation on the morning of June 14, 2007 titled “Bridging the Accuracy Gap – Increasing Precision and Reducing Manual Teaching”. He’ll also speak about the various other products offered by Dynalog, besides the DynaCal™ product.
